Bulletin Boards Linky

This month we are linking up #together to talk about bulletin boards. Unfortunately all of my bulletin boards are empty right now, but I do have some pictures to show you and a little TUTORIAL on how to make cute and FREE bulletin board borders.

To do my borders all I needed was bulletin board paper, stapler, hot glue gun (if you would rather hot glue your border on - I did on top of other borders), and scissors.

First cut your bulletin board paper into strips like this:

Next, crumple all of your strips up so they look like this (you can do longer strips than I did if you want).

Next, staple around your bulletin board (this is my fake bulletin board that I'm in the process of putting up, which is made from a plastic table cloth!). I just scrunch and staple, scrunch and staple, scrunch and staple.

Here is my bulletin board after border is up:

Anyone that REALLY knows me, knows that I'm sooo not a perfectionist! So this was the perfect bulletin board border for me! It was quick and FREE! And most importantly it's soooo cute!
Here are all of my bulletin boards that I've done with this border:

This bulletin board used to be for class work display, but this year I plan to use it for our class jobs board. I'll come back and update with a picture soon!

I love "MY" bulletin board. I keep the kids birthdays (we write their names and the day of the month their birthday is on, on top of vinyl and just stick them on the cupcakes). I also keep my pictures of my kids, my schedules, and other important info. on this board for quick reference.

My phonics board usually has all our letters, phonics tiles, and anchor charts we are using.

I just put this wall quote up this week for my hallway bulletin board. As you can see in the picture, I tried to put up a plastic tablecloth to use as bulletin board paper, but I don't think it's going to work on this wall. I will either use fabric or regular bulletin board paper. But I do LOVE my quote! I made it with vinyl using my Silhouette.

Wish I had more to show you, but I will definitely be blogging about my bulletin boards throughout the year, so come back to check it out!
