Now for MY Wild Thing!

Sorry I've been MIA for a WHILE!!!!! We have had so much going on with the end of the school year, baby showers, birthday parties, etc. etc.  I have missed you guys! And of course this post has nothing to do with school, but I figured, hey it's summer, so I'll tell show you a little more about my home life :)

You guys all know how much I LOVE "Where the Wild Things Are"... well here's my little WILD THING on his first birthday :)

Caycen's first birthday party was yesterday and let me tell ya, it was WILD :)

For his birthday, we did a "Where the Wild Things Are" theme, since he's our little "wild thing".
We started out by sending out these little invitations, which I made myself. I bought the clipart from Etsy and used it to create my invitation. I printed the invites through Walmart.com and it was PERFECT!

When guests drove up, they knew exactly where to go because the sign in the yard pointed to straight to our house!

When they walked in they were greeted with the favor table first. We did "wild" animal beach balls with favor tags that read "Thank you for making my party wild"

Next was the "Caycen" table.  There was his birthday pictures book, his birth announcement in a frame, his "Where the Wild Things Are" book, his "Watch Caycen Grow Tree", and one of his invitations.

The tree was one of my favorite things because it has pictures of Caycen from each month.

The food table had all of the "goodies" on it.  We had cupcakes, goldfish (his favorite snack), fruit snacks, then not shown in the picture was a vegetable tray and Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets and of course ICE CREAM.

We put little pop-up wild things all around the table.

I absolutely LOVED the cupcakes!!! We just ordered green cupcakes from Publix and I made the toppers to go on them.

The mantle was complete with the birthday banner I made for Caycen, and will be using for every birthday party from now on, as well as a picture of him with his "Max hat" on and a couple of wild things.

And here is where the King sat for his "FEAST".

So, now that you've seen all the decor, here are the party details.

There were tons of little wild things running around. They ate some snacks and then it was time for the birthday song, which was HILARIOIUS! Of course, I forgot to record it the first time, so I made everone sing it AGAIN.  Is that bad? Oh well, I had to have it on video.  Caycen got SO shy when everyone started singing. He even threw in a couple of laughs. It was the cutest.thing.ever!

chow down time!

Next we went outside and played on the slip 'n slide, the little pool, the roller coaster, and took pictures as "Max" from the book.

Is this what you're supposed to do on a slip 'n slide?? haha! My family!!!

After playing outside for a while, we went back in and opened presents. Caycen got SO.MUCH.STUFF!!! And it was all GREAT! He got tons of clothes, books, and even toys! He is one happy little boy!

We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that love our little man so much! My family drove 2 hours to come to his birthday party and turned around and drove 2 hours home after it was over. BLESS THEM! I was so shocked at how many people came to celebrate the birth of my little boy. Thank you to all of you for making it so special!

Now here are a few randoms:

And of course, Chance had to have his picture taken too! :)

What a GREAT day!
