Where the Wild Things Are

Last week we did our “Where the Wild Things Are Unit”.
We started out the week by having the kids get curious with a little sign hanging outside more door that said “Let the Rumpus Begin!”
They were all soooo curious what would be going on.
I showed the kids the book and read it aloud. We went over the vocabulary for the week. Then we did all of our fun activities. Here are some pictures from our week:

Starting off the week with our Max hats

Matching contractions

“Wild Sentences”

Working with vocabulary words
King or Queen of the wild things craftivity
Our wild things

“Wild Things Snack”

We had so much fun creating Rumpus of one kind or another!!!

You can find all of the fun activities along with lesson plans at my Tpt Store and TN store!
Have a wonderful evening!

Amy

Glitter Playdough! Be the coolest mom on earth (well you don't even have to be a mom) and make this galaxy playdough for a fun play date...... Yes!!!
Glitter playdough! This would be awesome when teaching about the stars (I’m teaching this right now so I am definitely thinking about doing this one!!!)
Stars in jars via glow paint splattered inside mason jars.Would be great for a night light!
This would also be great for teaching about stars! We did this in our class, except we used ziploc bags instead of jars.
Blow up balloons using vinegar and baking soda- exploring gas.
how cool!
soda bottle lung model
This is a soda bottle lung model! This would be so neat when teaching about the body not matter what grade you teach!!!
Weather theme
Making clouds… this would be cute during a weather unit.
instasnow mad scientist experiment
Instant snow! WOW! I definitely want to do this ‘cause I live in GA and we rarely see snow!
plant pals
